HT 60UNV Hydraulic Multi-functional Tool is a tool for connecting lugs and conductors. It carries more advantages of one head with three functions, crimping, cutting and punching, universal head rotates 360, automatic pressure release when operation is completed。

3.  Function Description

  1. 1)360 Free Rotating Head

Prohibit taking out the limit screw from the head, Loosened connection between the head and the body will result in serious personal injury.

The latch must be closed completely, to avoid the latch disconnect when operation.

  1. 3)The release lever is for piston rapid return to the starting position.
  2. 4)Two stage pumping action with safety valve inside to control the crimping pressure.

A. Crimping Step

1.Select the appropriate die set for the connector and cable being used. Askauthorized facility or distributor to choose proper compression die set for the connector and cable being used. 

2.The crimping head has to be opened by pulling the Latch (No.1), press the pin(No.2) to place the connector(No.) slide into the head, following the dies(No.8) will be inserted consecutively after activating the retaining clips (No. 9,10). 

3.The connecting material must be positioned in the crimping head, and close the head after. In order to start operating, the turn screw(No.4) must be turned 1800 while the pump lever(No.5) is pushed towards the handle,

 

4.Pump the activating pump lever (No. 5) until the upper and down dies have touched together tightly, When the pressure reaches the maximum force, the system inside will show “Ka” sound, it means the operator can not crimp any more.

5.Press the Retract lever (No. 3) to make the pressure relief and return the dies(No.into starting position.

 

6.   Opening the latch (No.1) and removing the connecting material out of the crimping head can terminate the crimping process. Press the pin(No.2) to take out the connector(No.7) from the head, lock the pump lever(No.5) by turn the screw (No.4) clockwise for next time use. 

B. Cutting Step.

1.  First the cutting head has to be opened by pulling the latch (No.1). Pin out of the cutting head.  

2.  The cable/conductor must be positioned in the cutting head which must be closed thereafter. In order to start the cutting procedure the turn screw (No.4) must be turned 180 while the pump lever(No.5) is pushed towards the handle(No.6).

3.A cutting process is initiated by activating the pump lever (No.5). It is defined by the approach and penetration of the moving blade (No.11, 12) into the cable/conductor from a vertical direction to avoid undesired shearing forces which might cause the blade to struck or get damaged. 

4.A cutting cycle is terminated when the blades (No.11, 12) closed completely or when the maximum cutting force is reached. This is indicated by a significant decrease of the handle force.

5.After the cut is completed the retract lever (No.3) must be actuated to retract the piston. In case of an error the retract lever (No.3) can be actuated at any time to return the piston into its starting position.

6.Before storing the tool, the turn screw (No.4) has to be turned 180 and the handles must be closed until the lock is activated.

 

C. Punching step 

  1. 1.When selecting a work piece, please do not exceed the Maximum Cutting Capacity of 3.0mm and 1.5mm for stainless steel.
  2. 2.Practice with a scrap work piece before using the actual work piece. Working with a scrap work piece will help you familiarize yourself with the Punch Driver Kit.
  3. 3.Drill a lead hole at the center point of the hole marked and measured.
  4. 4.The head has to be opened by pulling the Latch (No.1), slide the transfer (No.13) into the head, close the latch (No.1) completely.
